Q. OK, I'm confused. I've installed and configured yProxy but when I look up any yEncoded messages via my newsreader, it's still scrambled. What have I not done?
A. Instead of using your new yProxy settings, your newsreader may still have an open connection directly to your news server. Close all open connections in your newsreader before you begin using yProxy. If you're unsure how to disconnect your newsreader, exit your newsreader application completely and start it back up before attempting to use yProxy. In addition, yProxy does not decode messages which you've already downloaded. You will need to use an external decoder for these. yProxy only decodes messages real-time as they're downloaded through yProxy.
